“When I was planning my summer travels, I did not expect that I would end up singing Italian songs on the guitar in the middle of the Estonian forest while playing board games all day long” is what we’ve heard from Dominik, one of YoWo representatives who just came back from a Youth Exchange in Estonia.
Our team experienced an amazing journey through board games with participants from Poland, Estonia, Czechia, Spain and Italy. For more than a week they had a possibility to explore games as learning tools in different settings and develop strategic thinking, inclusion and non violent communication. Check out some memories of Filip and Dominik from the Polish group who joined the activity:
“The trip to Estonia was something truly extraordinary. The forests in which our guesthouse was located were beautiful and very mystical. I could describe the whole project for hours because so many things happened, I learned a lot about board games and their use in everyday life. I’ve had great evenings with the guitar and great conversations with great people” – Filip
“When I was planning my summer travels, I did not expect that I would end up singing Italian songs on the guitar in the middle of the Estonian forest while playing board games all day long. The title board games were a kind of platform that facilitated learning and conducting conversations. The sight of how during such a short period of time the participants develop their language and interpersonal skills was simply amazing and it is something that can only be found on a Youth Exchange. If you still hesitate to submit your application for exchange, please do not do it and make yourself an adventure that you will remember for a long time!” – Dominik
