From 14.10 – 22.10.2023, we had the amazing opportunity to join forces with CEFIG international as part of the Erasmus+ project “GEMS”. Participants from eight countries gathered in the scenic town of Kolín upon the Elbe River, near Prague. For just one week, the participants deepened their knowledge of gender equality and human rights topics. Daily intensive workshops were an opportunity for developing discussions and cooperation. During the workshops, we looked at social problems, such as exclusion, which affects many of us. We had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in methods of gender mainstreaming in a variety of contexts – from migration issues to radicalization of gender discourse in partner countries. Together, we shared practical tools for spreading such relevant aspects to young people and our communities. This exchange of experiences was not only educational but also inspiring, leaving the participants with broadened horizons and skills that they will certainly use in their work.
