Imagine learning through… solving puzzles, cracking codes, and building your own escape rooms in a box. Sounds like fun? That’s exactly the point! This was the daily reality for participants of the international Erasmus+ training course “Breakout Box: Social Entrepreneurship Edition”, which took place in the Czech Republic from February 22 to March 2, 2025, organized by CEFIG International.
A group of participants sent by YoWo Poland took part in the project – among them was YoWo volunteer Sylwia, who returned home full of ideas and a heart full of gratitude. Her words perfectly capture the atmosphere, energy, and value of this unique experience:
I’m incredibly grateful that I had the chance to take part in this project – it was such a great experience! Our main goal during the course was to learn, through practice, how to create educational escape boxes and use them as tools for engaging knowledge-sharing. We didn’t just learn the theory – we actually had to design and build our own educational games from scratch.
From the very first days, I was completely absorbed in the process. Through writing scenarios and designing puzzles, I discovered how creatively learning and fun can be combined. I also learned new facilitation techniques and practical methods that I’ll definitely use in the future.
The highlight of the whole project was testing our escape boxes. After several days of intense work, planning, and creating, we finally had the chance to try them out in practice – local school students tested our games. Watching their engagement and how deeply they immersed themselves in the game was an amazing experience. It showed that our ideas really work and can be powerful educational tools.
The project was perfectly organized and everything took place in a friendly, safe atmosphere. Besides gaining a lot of new knowledge and motivation, I also came back with great memories and valuable new friendships. Being surrounded by so many inspiring, positive people was something truly special – and it will stay with me for a long time.
Even though the project only lasted a week, it gave me so many new skills, knowledge, and even more motivation to keep going. It was pure joy! If you’re wondering whether going on a project with YoWo is worth it – don’t hesitate. It could be one of the best experiences of your life!

A week may not seem like much… but it was enough to inspire, open new doors, and leave a lasting impression. The “Breakout Box: Social Entrepreneurship Edition” project proved that education can be exciting, creative, and truly engaging – for both learners and educators. Sylwia not only gained new skills and tools, but also came back filled with energy and a strong belief that it’s always worth reaching for more.
If you’ve ever wondered whether going on an Erasmus+ project with YoWo is worth it – stop wondering. It might just be where you find your new passion, meet people who inspire you, and experience something you’ll never forget.
