YoWo Poland proudly shares the success of their participation in the EYLEAD project – Empowering Young Leaders in European Democracy, funded by the Erasmus+ programme.
Organized by an Estonian organization, EUnexus, this project is not just another educational programme. It is an exceptional platform that enables young changemakers to explore their strengths, enhance leadership skills, and actively engage in shaping a future based on democratic values.
Young participants from across Europe, including representatives from YoWo Poland – Anna, Magdalena, Emilia, Marta, Inka, and Kacper – embarked on a journey that went far beyond learning and skill-building. For each participant, EYLEAD became a unique experience filled with reflections and exchanges that they will carry forward.
Throughout a series of workshops and discussions, participants delved into the complexities of democracy while sharing their insights and views on the challenges young people face in Europe today. Open dialogues fostered an environment where trust could be built, allowing them to discover what it truly means to lead and how conscious, responsible actions can influence one’s community. For many, it was an opportunity to understand the immense power of collaboration and the exchange of perspectives, especially in the context of cultural and ideological diversity.
The EYLEAD project embraces a hands-on approach to education. This allowed young individuals to go beyond theoretical knowledge of democracy and apply it to real-life contexts. The experience enabled them not only to grasp the challenges of modern democracy but also to discover their unique talents and skills that can contribute to building a more inclusive and diverse society. As a result, they left the project feeling empowered, with a strong understanding that each of us can have a meaningful impact on the world.
YoWo Poland extends heartfelt thanks to the Estonian organization EUnexus for organizing this inspiring project and for creating a space for young people to thrive. With support from the Erasmus+ programme, this initiative became a place where young changemakers could not only hone their talents but also gain confidence that their voice and actions make a difference.
This Youth Exchange was funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme.
